I am a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC #53749), licensed through the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California. I received my Bachelors Degree in Family Studies from Central Michigan University and my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
Ever since I was a child I have had an innate curiosity about people; who they are, their story, what and who do they love, and what experiences have shaped them into the person they are today. Becoming a therapist has felt like a natural extension of who I am and what I love. My style as a therapist is calm, empathic, and compassionate while using my training, experience, and humor to assist my clients on their journey of growth and healing. My private practice work is focused on helping individuals live a more connected, authentic life, heal and overcome trauma, manage anxiety, and participate in healthy relationships.
I have found one common thread between all those I’ve had the honor of sitting with; we all have the need to love and be loved. How connected we are, to others and to ourself, directly impacts our level of satisfaction and happiness in life. This realization has becoming the driving force of my life, both as a therapist and as a person in my own relationships.
It is the ultimate honor to participate in the journey of those that I work with. As a strong therapeutic relationship is the necessary basis of any meaningful growth, I create a safe, sacred place where your feelings are valued and honored. We will work collaboratively to explore the patterns in your life that are inhibiting you from living the life you desire.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two small daughters, reading, eating good food, doing yoga, going to the beach, visiting Michigan in the summertime, and traveling.
